The Final Destination
It was a dark and stormy night and
I was alone in my house. I had been hearing strange noises coming from my attic
for weeks and I was determined to find out what was going on. I slowly opened
the door to the attic and was met with a chill in the air. The only light was a
single candle, which lit up a figure standing in the corner. I couldn't make
out its face, but I could see that it was holding something in its hands.
I took a step forward and the
figure spoke. “I know what you are afraid of,” it said. I felt my heart skip a
beat as I realized what it was holding. It was a human skull.
The figure stepped forward and I
could see its face in the candlelight. It was a skeleton, its empty eye sockets
gazing at me. “You are afraid of death,” it said, “and death is coming for
you.”
Suddenly, I heard a loud thump from
the other side of the attic. I turned around and saw a dark figure standing in
the corner. I could feel its presence as it slowly moved towards me. I backed
away in terror and the figure lunged forward. I felt a sharp pain in my chest
and then everything went black.
I awoke to find myself in the
afterlife, surrounded by the same figure I had seen in the attic. As I looked
around, I could see the other souls that had come before me, all of them in
various states of despair and terror. I realized then that death was inevitable
and that no matter how hard I tried to avoid it, it was always coming for me.
