The Cursed Doll!
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the old, rundown mansion at the edge of our village. It was said to be haunted, and no one ever went near it. But that didn't stop me from dreaming of what secrets it held within its walls.
One day, I was walking past the mansion when I saw something in the window. It was a doll, sitting on a shelf, its eyes fixed on me. I couldn't look away, drawn in by the doll's eerie beauty.
As I walked closer, I noticed that there was something strange about the doll. Its eyes seemed to follow me, and its smile turned into a sneer. But I was too entranced to notice the warning signs.
I reached the window and saw that the doll was holding a piece of paper. I took it from its hand and read the message - "Take me home with you."
Without a second thought, I snatched up the doll and ran all the way home. I placed it on my dresser, feeling a sense of pride at owning such a mysterious and beautiful object.
But that sense of pride didn't last long. Strange things started happening in my house - doors would slam shut, objects would move on their own, and I would hear whispers in the darkness. I knew that it had something to do with the doll, but I was too scared to get rid of it.
One night, I woke up to find the doll sitting at the foot of my bed. Its eyes were glowing, and its smile was wider than ever. I tried to move, to scream, but I was frozen in terror.
The doll spoke to me, in a voice that was not its own. It told me about the curse that had been placed upon it, the curse that it was now passing on to me. It told me that I would be haunted for the rest of my life, that there was no escape.
I don't remember what happened after that. The next thing I knew, I was in the hospital, surrounded by concerned family members. They told me that I had been found unconscious, with no explanation as to what had happened.
The doll was gone, and I never saw it again. But I knew that the curse was still with me, and that I would never be able to escape its grasp. I learned a valuable lesson - some secrets are best left hidden, and some objects are better left untouched.
