HAUNTED DOLL
As
a child, you were always afraid of dolls, especially those with eyes that
seemed to follow you wherever you went. So, when you inherited a porcelain doll
from your great-aunt who had recently passed away, you were hesitant to keep
it. But, feeling guilty for not wanting to keep the family heirloom, you placed
it on your dresser and tried to forget about it.
That
night, as you lay in bed, you heard a faint tapping sound coming from the
dresser. You sat up and rubbed your eyes, thinking it was just your imagination
playing tricks on you. But when you looked at the dresser, the doll was no
longer in the same position you had left it in. It was now staring straight at
you with a malicious grin on its face.
You
tried to scream, but your voice was caught in your throat as the doll jumped
off the dresser and started moving towards you. Its porcelain limbs creaked
with each step, and its eyes seemed to glow in the dark.
The
next day, you woke up, relieved that it had just been a nightmare. But as you
walked downstairs, you noticed that the doll was sitting in a different spot
than where you had left it the night before. This time, it was facing the door,
as if waiting for someone to enter the room.
Days
went by, and your parents still hadn't come home. You began to feel a sense of
unease, and as the days went on, you noticed changes in yourself. Your skin
started to pale, your eyes became sunken, and you began to feel a hunger that
you couldn't satisfy.
As
you walked through the town, you noticed that your friends were disappearing
one by one. But, when you tried to ask others about it, they looked at you with
confusion, as if your friends had never existed.
One
night, you found yourself lost in the woods. You had no recollection of how you
got there or why you were even there. As you stumbled through the darkness, you
could feel yourself slowly becoming a monster, just like the doll that haunted
you.
The
last thing you remembered was the doll's malicious grin as it watched you from
the dresser. And, as you fell to the ground, you knew that you would never
escape its curse.
